TAKING THE STAGE PERFORMER WORKSHOP WITH MIREYA LACE AND JANE AIR – ALL LEVELS WELCOME

Ever struggled with how to hold the stage presence without fidgeting? Ever questioned what to do with your hands when your holding absolutely still or moving to the beat in the song? Ever questioned how to hold your audience when you’re performing or to maintain power in your movements when there is a quiet space in the music?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, Taking the Stage is the workshop for you. This 60 minute workshop will focus on the essential elements of holding an audience, holding your space on stage, and utilizing all aspects of your body to create choreo. We will teach you each of these elements through a choreographed piece, followed with a chance to freestyle.

HARNESSING YOUR INNER FELINE WITH JUDAS SAINT JAMES: A CONFIDENCE AND SLOW BURN MOVEMENT WORKSHOP

Objective: The objective of this workshop is to build confidence through embracing our feline energy and applying it onstage through slow burn movement and audience interaction.

Description: This class is about how to approach movement through your own personal feline energy. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about some of the mythical origins of feline deities in Africa and Egypt with a special focus on Bastet. Bastet is a Kemetic (Egyptian) goddess of cats, sensuality, pleasure, dance and healing. Many of these things fall under movement and performance art. Understanding her energy and how we can tap into it as people and performers will be at the core of this class. This class is about embracing and validating individuality and inner confidence and then applying it through slow burn movements. While movement will be part of this class, Harnessing Your Inner Feline focuses on looking inward and exploring your own energetics around eroticism and sensuality.
